  • You are expected to arrive at Tafraoute in the afternoon, a village distinguished for its vibrant homes and stunning rock paintings. Before supper, you will have time to stroll about the town and unwind in a classic riad (guesthouse).

Day 2 – Tata - Tissint

  • On the second day, carry on north-east to Tata and venture into the nearby canyons, including Guegoul Canyon, notable for its stunning rock formations, narrow passages and natural pools. Take a guided walk through the canyon to appreciate its beauty and learn about the local flora and fauna.
  • After eating at a nearby restaurant in Tata, proceed in the direction of Tissint.
  • Reaching Tissint in the late afternoon, discover the Tissint Canyon Oasis. Wander through the green oasis nestled in the canyon, surrounded by palm trees and flowing water. Why not take a leisurely stroll along the trails, relax by the oasis pools or take a refreshing dip.
  • As evening falls, check in to your accommodation in Tissint and relax after a day of exploration. Indulge in a dinner showcasing authentic Moroccan cuisine.

  • For a day of exploration with a focus on Berber carpets and oases, set off from Tissint in the direction of Foum Zguid.
  • In Foum Zguid, time will be set aside to tour the local carpet shops and learn about the art of Berber carpet weaving. Then onwards to Tazenakht.

  • Check into your accommodation in Tazenakht and enjoy dinner, reflecting on the day’s exploration of Berber artistry and oasis landscapes.

Day 4 - Taliouine - Aoulouz - Taroudant

  • Setting out from Tazenakht for a day brimming with cultural revelations and natural spectacles as you head towards Taliouine, renowned as the saffron capital of Morocco.
  • A guided session at a saffron cooperative will show you the intricate process of producing saffron, from growing to harvesting, and the value of saffron in Moroccan cuisine and culture.

The visit to the saffron and argan cooperatives in Tafraoute was a top of this, seeing the local crafts up close was incredible.. but Taroudant? That city took my breath away with its walls and vibrant history.
