Nine days is enough time to see Morocco properly. This tour starts in Rabat, Morocco’s capital, and works its way through the Atlantic coast, the Sahara, the High Atlas and back north through the Middle Atlas lakes. Each day covers a different side of the country, no two stops feel the same.
You will have a private driver-guide with you throughout. In major cities like Marrakech, Fes and Casablanca, licensed local city guides join you on foot through the medinas. Accommodation ranges from coastal guesthouses to a traditional Berber desert camp in Mhamid and a lakeside lodge in Bin El Ouidane.
Although the itinerary follows a set route, we do offer some flexibility to suit your preferences. You can discuss possible adjustments with one of our tour operators, such as extending your stay in certain locations or adding optional activities such as camel riding or cooking classes. However, significant changes may affect the overall price and logistics.
Indeed, many clients choose to extend their stay in Morocco before or after the tour to explore additional destinations or to pursue independent travel experiences. Our customer service team can assist you in arranging accommodation, transport and activities to complement your extended stay.
In major cities and tourist areas, credit cards are widely accepted throughout Morocco. However, it’s recommended that you carry some cash in local currency for small purchases, tips and transactions in more remote areas or local markets where credit card facilities may be limited.
The plugs used in Morocco are type C and E, with a standard voltage of 220V and frequency of 50Hz. If your devices require a different type of plug or voltage, it’s worth bringing a suitable travel adapter or converter to ensure compatibility.
You are free to bring your own snacks and drinks on the tour, especially on long journeys or outdoor activities. However, please be aware of local customs and avoid eating or drinking in public during Ramadan or in conservative areas where it may be regarded as disrespectful.
My wife and I chose the private version of this 9 days grand itinerary, and it was the best decision we made. Tailoring the trip to our interests made all the difference. The local dirver guide made us feel at home and enriched our understanding of Moroccan culture. Casablanca was ideal for us to end our tour, so to have enough rest for our departure the next day..
I recently got back from the 9-Day Grand Itinerary, and I’m still in complete amazement. The view of the desert, which was unlike anything I had ever seen, was the high point for me. The tour guides were extremely informed and enthusiastic about imparting their cultural knowledge. It was a fitting destination to finish the journey in Rabat, a fascinating blend of modern and traditional architecture. If you want to see the most of Morocco, I strongly suggest this tour!
